Junaid Ahmed Net Worth: What We Know
There is no verified net worth figure for Junaid Ahmed. Long-running reality stars rarely disclose earnings, and no dedicated profile page exists to consolidate the scattered reports. His income comes from his TOWIE salary, which grows with seniority on the show, brand partnerships, his jewellery collaboration, paid appearances and his ITVX presenting work.
In interviews he has spoken about property investment and building a career beyond television, describing his current phase as focused on “property, career, partner, happiness”. Analysts estimate his net worth in the mid to high six figures. A Celebrity Big Brother appearance, reported in September 2026, would likely push that figure higher.

Junaid Ahmed’s Story: Disowned at 18
Ahmed has spoken openly about being disowned for being gay and Muslim at the age of 18, arriving in Essex with just £3 in his pocket. His rags-to-riches story, told in an exclusive OK! interview, has made him an advocate for diversity and authenticity. He regularly receives messages from young gay Muslim men asking how he found the courage to live openly, and he uses his platform to show that it is possible.
The £100,000 Wedding Plans
In early October 2026, The Sun reported Ahmed’s £100,000 wedding plans with Joe Blackman, including Braxted Park as a potential venue. The engagement aired on TOWIE in September 2026. The couple have also spoken about a big Bollywood-style celebration blending both of their traditions, and about moving into a family home with plans for a £1 million mansion further down the line.
Is Junaid Ahmed Doing Celebrity Big Brother 2026?
The Sun reported via Closer in September 2026 that Ahmed has “signed” for Celebrity Big Brother 2026. No dedicated landing pages exist for the rumour yet, and ITV has not confirmed the line-up. Given his experience as a Big Brother spin-off panellist, he would be a natural fit for the main house.
Junaid Ahmed’s TOWIE Journey
Ahmed debuted on The Only Way Is Essex in 2021 at 26 and made an immediate impression. In his first media interview he declared that he lived for drama and would ruffle feathers, and he did. Early series saw him at the centre of rows and reconciliations, the classic reality arc of the outspoken newcomer.
In recent years his role has matured. He describes himself as settled and content, focused on property, career and his relationship. His engagement to Joe Blackman, which aired in September 2026, was a landmark television moment: TOWIE’s first multi-racial gay engaged couple, celebrated across the press.
Representation: Why Junaid Ahmed Matters
Gay Muslim men remain rare on British television, and Ahmed’s visibility carries weight beyond entertainment. He has said he receives messages daily from closeted gay Muslim men asking how he found the courage to live openly. His answer is consistent: be brave, because it is possible.
That advocacy role distinguishes him from reality stars whose fame rests on drama alone. It also makes him a natural fit for Celebrity Big Brother, a show that has historically rewarded housemates with something to say.
Junaid Ahmed Style
Essex reality television has its own dress code, and Ahmed wears it well: sharp tailoring, statement outerwear and grooming that never slips. His jewellery collaboration extends that personal brand into product, the classic reality-to-retail pipeline. For fashion readers, his looks offer a masterclass in occasion dressing, from red carpets to villa-adjacent glamour.
The £100,000 Wedding: What We Know
The Sun’s early October 2026 exclusive put numbers on the celebration: a £100,000 budget, with Braxted Park in Essex as the reported venue. The couple have spoken about blending traditions, with Ahmed keen on a big Bollywood-style celebration and Blackman wanting elements from both of their backgrounds.
For a couple whose engagement aired on national television, the wedding will be a major media event. Reality weddings routinely generate magazine deals and sponsored content, meaning the celebration itself may become another income stream.
Big Brother: The Group Chat
Ahmed’s regular slot on Big Brother: The Group Chat, the ITVX spin-off show, has been one of the smartest moves of his career. The panellist role showcases his opinions, humour and television instincts to an audience beyond TOWIE, and it positions him perfectly for a Celebrity Big Brother appearance. Spin-off panellists who become housemates arrive with a built-in narrative that producers love.
Why TOWIE Made Him a Star
The Only Way Is Essex has launched dozens of careers, but few cast members have used it as deliberately as Ahmed. Where others treat the show as a fame machine, he has treated it as a platform: for representation, for business and for a wedding that will be one of the most talked-about reality events of the year. His journey from the boy who arrived with £3 to a property-owning engaged television personality is the show’s most compelling long arc.
